Tenant Improvements Project
This project consisted of building out a vanilla shell space for a halotherapy business. This location consists of a retail area, reception, salt cave, and two rooms that can be used for massage services and body treatments. The second room can also be used as a combination salt/treatment room. The salt cave and associated retail are the features that draw clients to this facility. Halotherapy, or salt therapy, involves breathing in air with micro particles of pharmaceutical salt air to improve your breathing similar to a three day stay by the beach. Halotherapy is considered an alternative treatment for lung problems such as asthma, bronchitis, cough, and allergies. At this location, Halotherapy is done in the spa-like relaxing salt cave.
The cave design features both smooth and natural faced bricks of pink and white Himalayan salt. These bricks were placed on backlit walls highlighting the natural variations in the salt block texture and the client’s signature arches design. The construction of the backlit walls involved the use of opaque materials to allow the transfer of LED light through the salt blocks. Audio components, the halogenerator, and associated venting were installed with concealment being a priority
