In honor of Real Men Wear Pink’s campaign for the American Cancer Society Nevada, community leader, Nathan Schweigart of NDL Group Inc, has “stepped up their pink” to launch the fourth year of Real Men Wear Pink in southern Nevada. Schweigart joins several other American Cancer Society ambassadors to encourage community members to take action in the fight against breast cancer.
Each Real Men Wear Pink participant accepts a fundraising challenge and will compete to be the top fundraiser among his peers by the end of the campaign. All money raised goes to benefit the American Cancer Society and their fight to put an end to breast cancer. Schweigart lost his mother in law to breast cancer. “Her fight is over but so many more are still fighting and I stand with each of them, says Nathan Schweigart, President and founder of NDL Group.”

According to the American Cancer Society, over 270,000 women in the United States will be diagnosed with breast cancer, and an estimated 42,000 will die from the disease this year. In Nevada, over nearly 2,200 women will be diagnosed this year, and over 400 are expected to die from the disease. Breast cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in women, and it is the most common cancer diagnosed in women other than skin cancer.
